In a unexpected collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal statement, "An unusual encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden cult.

The adventure centers on "strange tests and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana together with multiple items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Mikasa costume for Naoe

Latest Free Story Addition

This patch also brings the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery." This playful mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature skills: Naoe reveals a dramatic variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
