Netflix Selects Spot-On Star for Bon Clay in One Piece Third Season
The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t take place until season 3, and a cherished, popular member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed recently that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Bon Clay. The role has the ability to morph into an exact copy of anyone they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The performer, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the source material and anime.
This performer is joined by a number of fresh additions set to bring the group to reality, featuring chief Sir Crocodile, portrayed by the well-known actor, a talented actress as a key member, and a familiar face, who will appear as the lineup as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Even though the role is a key figure of the organization, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. With season 2 set to cover the Little Garden segment, this represents a significant shift in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could suggest additional alterations to the story’s structure.
Escola’s blend of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the character. In addition to their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece program is set to return for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
